Nature Journaling Workshop
Nature journaling is a wonderful way to document the natural world around you and learn more about it at the same time.
This workshop taught the basics and helped attendees unleash their inner artist. Suitable for all ages and skill levels, nature journaling is a great way to explore the natural environment and create a lasting memory of wonderful places and experiences.
The workshop started with an introduction to nature journaling and some basic skills. Attendees then headed outside to put pencil to paper and put what they had learned into practice.
Attendees did not need to be experienced artists, just willing to look and learn.
The ticket price included a visual art diary and coloured pencils to take home, plus light refreshments. Fiona's book was available for purchase at the Bookshop.
This was a members-only event for members of the Friends of the National Library of Australia.

Fiona Boxall is a Canberra-based artist, nature journaler and writer whose passionate interest in the natural world forms the basis of her work.
She uses a variety of mediums but her favourites are watercolour and gouache, and her subject matter is always an aspect of nature.
