Indigenous collections study
We are partnering with Instinct and Reason, an independent market research agency, in collaboration with 100% Aboriginal-owned consultancies, to understand the experiences of First Nations and other visitors and researchers’ engaging with the Library’s Indigenous-led initiatives and collections.
This study is focused on the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as other visitors and researchers who have engaged with the Library’s Indigenous collections and services or events—whether onsite or online.
By sharing your experiences and thoughts, you will directly contribute to the Library’s ongoing work to:
- Strengthen and care for its Indigenous collections
- Improve services and access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
- Continue to implement and uphold Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property (ICIP) protocols in respectful and meaningful ways.
The research is conducted under strict ethical and privacy guidelines. All discussions will be confidential, and participants will take part in culturally safe conversations, facilitated by First Nations consultants, to ensure a respectful and supportive environment.
