In 2026, we are refining our venue hire services. Venue hire will be available by application only, and requests will be assessed against their ability to demonstrate:

• Clear cultural, community or public benefit
• Value as a partnership, contributing to shared outcomes or sector collaboration
• Operational suitability for a national research library
• How the proposed event or program supports the Library’s engagement activities, or otherwise contributes to our cultural or educational role.

A minimum of 12 weeks’ notice is required for proposal applications, to allow for proper assessment, approval and planning.
