Our Priorities

A person holds a tablet displaying an illustration of a bird on Trove. The background shows the Library's soft seating and wooden furniture.
Digitisation

With donor support, we are building a digital Library for the twenty-first century, adding more than 1.5 million pages to Trove each year and unlocking more of our collections online for future generations.

Fellowships and Scholarships

Support researchers, emerging scholars and artists to engage deeply with the Library’s collections and create new knowledge and original work.

Other priorities

Philanthropic gifts enable lectures, lifelong learning, oral history projects and other initiatives that connect people with Australia’s stories, preserve knowledge and encourage discovery.

The impact of your support

Every donation helps preserve, share and celebrate Australia's stories.

Our annual Donor Report highlights the incredibly diverse range of projects, achievements and stories made possible through philanthropic support.

The cover of the 2025 Donor Report says 'Thank You 2025 Report to Donors' with the Library's logo in the corner. A man standing on a snowy plain, in front of tents, sledges with scientific equipment, scientists and sled dogs. A large rocky outcrop looms in the background.
