Congratulations to the 12 recipients of the 2024 National Library of Australia Fellowships, Creative Arts Fellowships and National Folk Fellowship.

The Fellowships aimed to promote the Library as a centre of scholarly activity and research, and encourage the use and promotion of the Library's rich and varied collections. It supported 150 researchers until 2014 when it was replaced by the Fellowships and Scholarships program.

The film and theatre legend Jim Sharman – the renowned director of more than 70 productions including The Rocky Horror Picture Show – reflected on his incredible career, his legacy and the future of the arts.

With a generous bequest from Frank van Straten AM, the Library has brought Jim Sharman’s visual diaries and an original Rocky Horror Picture Show script online for the 50th anniversary of the film’s release.
