Conservation management plan

The Conservation Management Plan was endorsed in 2018 and is supported by the Library's Heritage Strategy.

The National Library of Australia is included in the Commonwealth Heritage List.

In accordance with the requirements of the EPBC Act (Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999) relating to a Commonwealth Heritage Listed building, the Library has in place a Conservation Mangagement Plan. It provides a framework and basis for the conservation and good management of the National Library of Australia building, in recognition of its heritage values.

Enquiries about the Plan and Strategy can be made by contacting the Director, Facilities & Security.
