The National Library of Australia (the Library) main building is situated in Parkes Place, Parkes, ACT and is open seven days a week for 363 days a year. This building is listed in the register of the National Estate as a building of cultural significance. The Library also owns a large storage facility at 44 Tralee Street Hume, ACT and leases other storage facilities.

Due to the significant operational use of the Library building, there is a dedicated need for on-site maintenance resources to provide preventative and corrective maintenance services to minimise the risks of service disruptions, unplanned failures that could compromise the Library’s operability and collection preservation mandate and extend the operational life of the Library’s critical electrical and mechanical assets and maintain records pertaining to these assets.

The contracted services ensure that the Library maintains compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and safety requirements, aligned with the heritage status of the building.

There will be multiple industry briefings organised for this opportunity. Attendance to at least one of these briefings is mandatory. Submissions from companies who do not attend at least one briefing will not be considered.
